Rowing prepares for Petrakis Cup on Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU rowing teams look to continue its success in the spring as the Dolphins compete in the 16th annual Petrakis Cup on Saturday at the Negaard Rowing Center on St. John's River.

JU will host nine events on campus beginning with the Men's Varsity 8 at 8 a.m. The rest of the event will consist of the Women's Varsity 8 (8:15 a.m.), Men's Novice 4 (8:30 a.m.), Women's Novice 4 (8:45 a.m.), Men's Junior Varsity 8 (9 a.m.), Men's Varsity 4 (9:30 a.m.), Women's Varsity 4 (9:45 a.m.), Men's Lightweight 4 (10 a.m.) and the Women's Novice 8 (10:15 a.m.).

The Petrakis Cup has been hosted in honor of JU alumnus and Dolphin rowing benefactor John Petrakis (Class of 1973).

The event will also be made available on a tape delay basis on ASun.TV through JUDolphins.com. You can register to view the archived event on http://asun.playonsports.tv/ju.
