Women's rowing to host Miami on Saturday at 8 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After taking third overall at the SIRA Regatta last weekend, the JU women's program will continue preparation for the Dad Vail Regatta by hosting Miami at the Negaard Rowing Center on Saturday at 8 a.m. on the St. John's River.

Five Dolphin boats will take to the water as the Varsity 8, Freshman 8 and three Varsity 4 boats compete against the Hurricanes.

The Varsity 8 with coxswain Jill Sarno, Candace Barber, Adelina Anderson, Stephanie Bechtold, Jessica Tuten, Julia Fairchild, Danielle Fournier, Jennifer Barker, and Keely Wells will start things off at 8 a.m.

The Freshman 8 consisting of coxswain Claire Futo, Candace Barber, Danielle Fournier, Jill Carmody, Karylina Greer, Morgan McTiernan, Samantha Newell, Brittany Cahan and Elise Perna will compete at 8:30 a.m.

Three Varsity 4 boats consisting of coxswain Amanda Soukup, Kelly Burke, Kate Gout, Jill Carmody and Keely Wells; coxswain Jill Sarno, Stephanie Bechtold, Adelina Anderson, Jennifer Barker and Jessica Tuten and coxswain Claire Futo, Julia Fairchild, Karylina Greer, Candace Barber and Danielle Fournier will end the event at 9 a.m.
