The JU rowing teams tallied 11 medals, including seven gold medals, to end the fall season as the Dolphins competed at The Head of the South on Saturday on the Savannah River in Augusta, Ga.

The Dolphins took home gold medals in the Men's Championship 8, Men's Championship 4, Men's Lightweight 8, Men's Lightweight 4, Men's Freshman 8, Women's Freshman 4 and Women's Championship 1.

The Men's Championship 8 "A" boat composed of coxswain Jessica Marchant, Adam Heine, Greg Boccieri, Dylan Kosten, Patrick Lura, Chris Carter, Richmond Jones, Lee Richard and Bradley Woodrum finished first with a time of 15:00.7 ahead of Emory (15:04.1) and Georgia Tech (15:04.3).

The Men's Freshman 8 with coxswain Jamie Goldstein, Dylan Kosten, Kevin Friedlander, Erich Negaard, Christopher Barse, Matt Repici, Zach Hosford, John Gerety and Ryan Kilpatrick finished first with a time of 15:51.2 ahead of North Carolina (16:08.7) and Georgia Tech (16:35.3).

The Men's Lightweight 8 made up of coxswain Anthony Magro, Matt Repici, Stefan Negaard, Tyler Humphrey, Charlie Allen, Rick McCarson, Lucas Meers, Michael Scully and Kevin Friedlander placed first with a time of 15:36.1 ahead of Georgia Tech "B" (15:43.0) and Clemson (16:05.6).

The Men's Championship 4 with coxswain Jessica Marchant, Adam Heine, Greg Boccieri, Lee Richard and Patrick Lura finished first with a time of 16:38.0 ahead of Clemson (17:05.5).

The Men's Lightweight 4 consisting of coxswain T.J. Urbanek, Tyler Humphrey, Stefan Negaard, Rick McCarson and Charlie Allen placed first with a time of 16:41.5 ahead of Wake Forest (16:56.0), Clemson (17:20.0), North Carolina (17:24.4) and North Carolina State (17:29.4).

The Women's Freshman 4 with coxswain Jill Carmody, Danielle Fournier, Morgan McTiernan and Candice Barber placed first with a time of 19:15.5 ahead of Alabama "A" (20:10.6), Alabama "B" (20:16.0) and Florida State (21:06.6).

The Women's Club 1x with Alaina Kemp finished first with a time of 24:40.8.

Among the other JU boats to finish in the top three were the Women's Championship 8 (silver - 17:07.4), Men's Novice 4 (silver - 17:45.2), Women's Championship 2x (silver - 19:41.7) and Women's Championship 4 (bronze - 18:43.3).
