JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Download the 2008 JU Track & Field Media Guide

The JU women's indoor track & field team moved up one spot in the national rankings, improving to a school best 26th according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association poll, released on Wednesday.

Led by junior jumpers Natasha Harvey and Shaquania Lundy, who recorded the third and fourth ranked long jumps in the country, the Dolphins won their third consecutive Atlantic Sun Championship on March 1 with a record-setting performance.

"It is an honor to have our program mentioned among such great teams with strong traditions," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "We are thankful for the recognition of our hard work."

Harvey's jump tied her overall career-high and set a new indoor school record with a mark of 21-5.25" in the long jump, while Lundy's mark of 21-4.75" was a personal best for her in the event. The new rankings, which are based on declarations for the NCAA Indoor Championships, see the Dolphins with 33.45 points. LSU remains first with 166.33.

Both Harvey and Lundy will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships at Randal Tyson Track Center.
