Natasha Harvey and Shaquania Lundy to compete in NCAA Indoor Championships

March 13, 2008

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Junior jumpers Natasha Harvey and Shaquania Lundy of the JU women's indoor track & field team will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday at the Randall Tyson Track Center.

Harvey and Lundy will both compete in the long jump after recording the third and fourth ranked marks in the country, in a one-two finish at the Atlantic Sun Championship on March 1, helping the Dolphins claim their third consecutive conference title.

"Natasha and Shaq have worked hard all season and they are highly ranked," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "It will be fun to watch them represent our University at a championship level."

Harvey's jump, a meet record, of 21-5.25" and Lundy's mark of 21-4.75" helped the Dolphins jump one spot in the national rankings (26th), the highest in their history.
