Mea Darley enters her Fifth year as head coach for the Jacksonville University cheer team and her first as the Student Services and Outreach Coordinator for the JU Davis College of Business.

As head coach of the Dolphins cheer team and Spirit Coordinator for the Athletic Department, she is responsible for all aspects of the program, including coordinating fund raisers, game performances with the JU band and dance team, mascot performances and all community involved events.

As the Student Services and Outreach Coordinator for the Davis College of Business, Darley oversees all of the Business internships, works with the Executive MBA Alumni Association board, the DCOB Executive Mentor program, coordinates all business special events and will be teaching the Introduction to Business 101 class in the fall of 2007

Darley served as the assistant director of admissions at JU starting in 2002 and worked primarily with incoming Dolphin student-athletes, while also supervising and coordinating all university special events on and off campus. She also served as director of athletic development in 2005, where she worked closely with the JU Athletic Association (the Dolphins booster club), coordinated all special events and monitored all donations to the athletic department.

A native of New Orleans, Darley began her coaching career as an assistant cheer coach at the University of North Florida from 1999-2000. During that time, she assisted in all aspects of the program, including fundraising, tryouts and choreography.

Darley also worked as the operations manager and administrative coordinator for the Delta Connection Academy from August 2000 to September 2002, where she worked in conjunction with the JU Financial Department on all aviation student records.

Prior to JU, she served as the director of marketing and assistant of aircraft sales at Craig Air Center (1999-00), student assistant for the Business Administrative Department at Embry-Riddle University (1998-99) and was a member of the International Air Cadet Exchange Staff in Washington, D.C. & Sweden (1995-96).

A graduate of Embry-Riddle in 1999, Darley earned her B.S. in aviation business administration and minor in psychology, while also participating on the cheer squad for four years. She has also earned her MBA from Jacksonville University in May of 2007. Darley and her husband, Aaron, were married on August 4, 2001 and celebrated the birth of their first child, Logan, in December 2005.
