JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU director of athletics Alan Verlander and faculty athletic representative Dr. Kim Capriotti were named by the NCAA Board of Directors to serve as cabinet members for the NCAA Governance Structure.

Verlander, wrapping up his third year as the director of athletics, will represent the Atlantic Sun Conference in the 21-member recruiting cabinet. Capriotti will represent the conference in the academic cabinet.

"This is a tremendous honor for Kim and me to be named to these NCAA cabinet positions," Verlander said. "With the new governance structure of the NCAA, we will be able to help set the course for Division I athletics over the next few years and give schools like a JU a voice on the national level."
