AS A JUNIOR (2006): Made 22 appearances, including 14 starts at the No. 2 spot in the rotation...in the A-Sun, he ranked fifth in strikeouts (86), third in innings pitched (103.1) and ninth in opponent batting average (.267)...after beginning the year in the bullpen, he won his starting debut against South Florida (2/14)...went in and out of the rotation until earning a win at North Florida (4/8)...was pinned with eight no-decisions on the year, in which JU went 5-3...set a Dolphins' single-season record with 26 hit batsmen and is one away from the career mark...struck out a career-high 10 batters against Stetson (4/15)...struck out five or more batters on nine occasions...earned the win over Sacred Heart (6/3) in the NCAA Regionals after allowing one run on six hits in 6.1 innings of work. PRIOR TO JU: Pitched for two years at Daytona Beach Community College for Tim Touma...as a sophomore, he earned first team all-Mid-Florida Conference accolades and Daytona Beach CC Pitcher of the Year honors after leading the Falcons to a 2005 Mid-Florida title with a 6-0 conference record.

High School: Two-year letterwinner at Lake Mary High School as a pitcher for Allan Tuttle...as a senior, he earned second team all-state and first team all-Seminole Athletic Conference honors after going 8-0 with an 0.65 ERA...as a junior, he earned honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference accolades after finishing with a 8-0 record and a 0.56 ERA...in two years on the junior varsity squad, he posted a 15-1 record...also led his American Legion Post 53 squad to a state championship in 2002.

Personal: Born May 8, 1984 in Kingsport, Tenn...son of Dan and Sally...has two brothers: Matt and Tyler...father, Dan, played football at Morehead State in 1976...brother, Matt, played golf at Florida State from 1999-03...brother, Tyler, currently plays baseball at Seminole Community College...majoring in sports administration.
