AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2006): Started 58-of-59 games in left field...earned first team all-A-Sun honors after ranking second in runs scored and doubles, third in stolen bases, fifth in walks, ninth in hits and 10th in total bases in the conference...led the squad with 21 doubles, three triples, 21 stolen bases and eight outfield assists...second on the squad with 25 multi-hit games, including a career-high five hits against Maryland (2/25)...tied a career best with four RBI at North Florida (2/8)...shook off a slow start (.185, 5-27) with a season-high 14-game hitting steak (2/19-3/14) in which he batted .439 (25-57)...also posted an 11-game hitting streak (4/29-5/19)...in summer league play, he led the Santa Barbara Foresters to a 2006 National Baseball Congress National Championship after batting .335 with a team-high five triples, six home runs, 50 RBI and a .632 slugging percentage in 44 games. AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2005): Started all 54 games for the Dolphins after making the switch from shortstop to left field...five of those starts were as the designated hitter...earned all-Sunshine State honors after leading the squad with 13 doubles, 41 RBI, 36 runs, 29 walks, 100 total bases, a .413 on-base percentage and 12 multi-RBI games...also tied for the team lead with seven home runs and was second on the squad with 66 hits and 21 multi-hit games...finished fourth on the squad with a .325 batting average...ranked fourth in the A-Sun with 10 doubles during conference play...had a season-high 13-game hitting streak to start the season (2/8-3/4)...tallied a career-high four hits with a double, a home run and three RBI against Florida Atlantic (4/2). AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2004): Played in 54 games, including 51 starts at shortstop and one as the designated hitter...earned A-Sun Conference all-freshman team honors after leading the Dolphins with 65 hits and 12 doubles, while also ranking second with a .346 batting average, 39 runs and 88 total bases...led the Dolphins with a career-high 16-game hitting streak (2/21-3/16) in which he batted .404...recorded first career home run against Stetson (4/9) and hit first triple vs. Connecticut (3/9). AS A FRESHMAN (2003): Sat out first season as a redshirt. HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter at Providence High School for coach Bill Bell...as a senior, he earned all-state honors after batting .450 with eight home runs and 20 stolen bases...as a junior, he hit .380 and helped Providence capture the district championship and a second-place finish in regionals...also a four-year starter in football, earning all-conference honors three times and all-state and all-First Coast honors twice...as a senior, he earned all-state, all-conference and all-First Coast honors after ranking second in the state with 63 receptions for 1,125 yards and 15 touchdowns...as a junior, he earned all-state, all-conference and all-First Coast honors with 68 receptions for 915 yards and eight touchdowns.
