AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2005): Appeared in 51 games with 48 starts, including first base (47) and designated hitter (1)...tied for first on the squad with seven home runs and was second with a .503 slugging percentage and eight multi-RBI games...ranked third on the team with a .327 batting average, 83 total bases and a 391 on-base percentage...recorded 17 multi-hit games, including a team-high six games with three hits...hit his first career triple against Bradley (3/15)...drove in a season-high three RBI after batting 3-for-4 with a home run against Georgia State (3/19)...had back-to-back games with three hits -- at Belmont (3/6) and against Villanova (3/8)...in summer league play, he played with the Torrington Twisters of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) South Division...earned All-Star honors after batting .305 with 47 hits, three doubles, a triple, three home runs, 25 runs, 17 RBI, 61 total bases and a .378 on-base percentage...totals ranked him third on the squad in runs scored, fourth in batting average and hits and fifth in on-base percentage and RBI.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2003): Played in 49 games, including 46 starts at first base and one as the designated hitter...earned Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors and A-Sun Freshman of the Year honors after finishing second on the team with a .366 batting average...hit safely in 36-of-49 games, including 13 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI outings...longest hitting streak was 10 games...led the team with 40 RBI and six sacrifice flies while also tying for first with 13 doubles...ranked second on the team in slugging percentage (.579) and on-base percentage (.449), while also placing third on the squad with six home runs...hit .404 with runners in scoring position and batted .394 with a .697 slugging percentage on the road...earned A-Sun Tournament MVP honors after hitting .500 with four doubles, five RBI and a .722 slugging percentage...went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBI vs. Stetson (5/25) in the championship game of the A-Sun Tournament...had a career-high six RBI at Mercer (4/5).

PERSONAL: Born June 26, 1983, in Buffalo, N.Y...son of Gordon, Sr. and Diane Gronkowski...has four brothers: Dan, Chris, Rob and Glenn...father, Gordon Sr., was a four year letterwinner in football at Syracuse (1977-82) and signed professional contracts with the Buffalo Bills and New Jersey Generals...brother, Dan is the starting tight end going into his sophomore year at Maryland...brother, Chris, is the second-string fullback going into his redshirt-freshman year at Maryland...brother, Rob, is the top rated junior tight end recruit in the nation at Williamsville High School...majoring in business.
