Prior to JU: Two-year starter at Hutchinson CC as a pitcher and third baseman for Kyle Crookes...as a sophomore, he led the Jayhawks to a second-consecutive conference title and a 43-13 record with a 6-0 record, a 1.62 ERA, a .193 opponent batting average and 45 strikeouts in 39 innings...as a freshman, he led the squad to a region title and the Junior College World Series after posting a 2-1 record and a 3.80 ERA...also earned the Student-Athlete Achievement Award.
