         <description><![CDATA[After an appearance in the Atlantic Sun Conference title game last season, JU head men's basketball coach Cliff Warren continues to load up on talent.<p>On Wednesday, Warren announced the signing of three players to join the squad for next season - giving the Dolphins depth in the post, more athleticism and scoring ability.<p>Tevin Galvin (Palm Coast, Fla.), Will Alston (Laurel, Md.) and Chris Edwards (Albany, Ga.) will come to JU next season as the Dolphins look to build off of last season's success.<p>"We're excited about bringing these three young men into our program," Warren said. "Each one fits the mold of the type of student-athlete we want while fulfilling some of our needs."]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The youth of JU men's basketball team faced the experience of Belmont in the finals of the General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Conference Championship on Saturday.<p>The Bruins experience on the biggest stage in the conference showed as the Dolphins fell to a barrage of 3-pointers in their first appearance in a league title game since 1989, 79-61, sending Belmont to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year.<p>While the ending of the season is disappointing, it is safe to say the Dolphins are back after winning one game two years ago to being one game away from the NCAA Tournament.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The JU men's basketball team jumped out early and never looked back, earning a spot in the General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Conference championship game with an 89-80 win over Gardner-Webb.<p>Ben Smith led three Dolphins in double figures with 27 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor and 13-of-17 from the free throw line.<p>The Dolphins (18-12) got a double-double from Marcus Allen, his sixth of the season. The junior center scored 17 points and pulled down 11 boards, knocking down 11-of-14 from the free throw line.<p>"This is just another step in the process," said JU head coach Cliff Warren. His award marks the second straight year JU has been represented on the first team as Jesse Kimbrough was selected a year ago.<p>Hardy was named to the all-freshman team after an impressive season that saw him average almost eight points per game and five rebounds.          <description><![CDATA[After a red-hot shooting night on Thursday, the JU men's basketball team couldn't find the range on Saturday, falling at Stetson, 81-64, in Atlantic Sun Conference action.<p>Stetson (16-15, 11-5 A-Sun) avenged its loss to the Dolphins (16-12, 12-4 A-Sun) in the opening weekend of conference play when JU rallied in the final minute before winning in triple overtime.<p>The Hatters got a game-high 23 points from A.J. Smith, hitting two of Stetson's 11 3-pointers. Stetson had three other players in double figures with Garfield Blair adding 15, along with Eric Diaz and Tim Lang chipping in with 13 each.]]></description>
