Prior to JU: Played two seasons (2003-04) as a defensive back for Chris Hatcher at Valdosta State...as a sophomore, he led the Blazers to a 13-1 record and a Division II National Championship...as a freshman, helped the squad to a 10-2 mark...named to the Dean's List.

High School: Four-year letterwinner as a defensive back and running back for Verlon Dorminey at Trinity Christian High School...led the Conquerors to a combined 51-7 record in four years...as a senior team captain, led the squad to a district, regional and state championship along with a No. 1 ranking in the state...earned honorable mention all-state and region All-America accolades after recording 67 tackles, nine interceptions and three fumble recoveries...as a junior team captain, he led the team to a district title and was named all-district and regional All-American after tallying 64 tackles, five interceptions and a fumble recovery...as a junior, he led the squad to a district championship and was named all-district after recording 45 tackles and two interceptions...as a freshman, he contributed to a district title with 20 tackles and two fumble recoveries.
