JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior forward Anton Axelsson was named to the All-South Region Second Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic "Player of the Year" Axelsson captained the Dolphins to the 2007 A-Sun regular season title and a berth in the A-Sun Tournament championship match. For his efforts in the tournament, he was named to the all-tournament team.

Axelsson was named Atlantic Sun Conference "Player of the Year" and finished the season leading the conference in goals (16), points (36), points per game (1.80), goals per game (0.80) and game-winning goals (6). He finished third and fourth in the nation in points per game and goals per game, respectively.
