Prior to JU: Played her sophomore season at Miami Dade Community College after completing her freshman campaign at San Jacinto College...as a sophomore, she earned second team all-Southern Conference and all-tournament honors after tallying 79 kills, 57 blocks and 89 digs while leading the Sharks to the national tournament...as a freshman, she was named all-region and all-tournament after finishing with 196 kills and 101 digs while also helping the Lady Ravens to the national tournament.

High School: Three-year starter as an outside hitter and middle blocker at Mayde Creek High School... as a senior, she was an all-district honoree...in club play, she was a member of the Willowbrook Volleyball Club.

Personal: Born August 12, 1987, in Houston, Texas...daughter of Rand and Laurie...has a brother, Rand...father, Rand, played football at Rice in 1974...grandfather, Jim Owens, was head coach for the Washington Huskies from 1957-74...majoring in sports administration.
