Aidan Yeager named Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week"

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Freshman outside hitter Aidan Yeager of the JU volleyball team has been named Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" after leading the Dolphins to a 2-0 record last weekend and pushing the squad's season high winning streak to six matches.

Yeager finished the week with 24 kills, 3.00 kill per game, a .295 (24-6-61) hitting percentage, 11 blocks and 1.38 blocks per game. She also finished with double digit kills in consecutive matches and has now tallied nine double digit kill efforts on the year.

In a 3-1 win over Campbell at Carter Gym, Yeager finished with 11 kills, a .200 (11-5-30), and three blocks. Against Gardner-Webb at Paul Porter Arena, she tallied 13 kills, a .387 (13-1-31) hitting percentage and eight blocks.

Yeager currently ranks third on the squad with 176 kills (2.89 kpg) and a .251 hitting percentage while ranking second with 72 blocks per game. In the A-Sun, she ranks third in blocks with 1.18 blocks per game.

The Dolphins will continue Atlantic Sun Conference play by hosting defending champion Belmont on Friday at 7 p.m. The contest can be seen live through ASun.TV on www.judolphins.com.
